"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6,7. At Port of Hope Seventh-day Adventist Church we believe that prayer brings hope where there is none. We hold dearly to the words of apostle Paul, "First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.  This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." 1 Timothy 2:1-4.

At Port of Hope Seventh-day Adventist Church, prayer is taken very seriously. We welcome prayer requests from anyone about anything. We endavour to present every prayer request to the Lord daily. We believe that the Lord in His Sovereignity and Grace will deal with each request and grant it accordingly.
